Dyer Barnes Receives Award

The University of the South in Sewanee, TN held their 2023 football awards banquet on February 17, 2024. Dyer Webb Barnes of Lewis County, a Lewis County football alumni, received the Offensive Player of the Year award.

Barnes is ranked fifth in the nation in D3 football.

Dyer is very thankful and blessed to have received this award as a freshman. He would like to thank all his coaches and teachers at Lewis County High School that pushed him on and off the field to get to where he is. He would like to thank his community, family and friends who still support him everyday. He is proud to call Lewis County home.

Dyer is the son of Billy and Kandra Barnes and a proud Uncle Dub to Millie Barnes.
