Emergency personnel were dispatched Sunday about 8:30 p.m. to a two vehicle accident on Summertown Highway in the area east of the Natchez Trace Parkway. According to law enforcement officers on the scene, a 2022 Ford Ranger pick-up registered to an Ohio resident was traveling east when it came over a rise and struck a disabled Ford dually flat bed, with the driver under it, stopped in the roadway. The Ranger was unable to stop before crashing into the stalled vehicle. The Ranger driver was treated on the scene for non-life threatening injury. The driver of the flatbed was not hurt.
