Fredrick James Lezotte

November 27, 1942 ~ May 5, 2024

Fredrick James Lezotte, a husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2024, in Hampshire. Born on November 27, 1942, in West Enfield, Maine, Fredrick's life was marked by his dedication to family, country, and community.

He was the beloved son of the late Joseph Frank Lezotte and Helen Catherine Henderson Lezotte. Fredrick's journey through life was enriched by his loving wife, Reba Lee Guthrie Lezotte, and his adoring children: Frankie, Dian, Bob, Jenny, Dawn, Tina, and Angie. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his later years. Fredrick's siblings, Nancy Bridge, Harriet Gomillion, and Kim Lloyd, will hold dear the memories of their brother, preceded in passing by four brothers and four sisters.

Fredrick was a patriot at heart, having retired from the United States Army after honorably serving in three tours of Vietnam. His courage and commitment to his country were unwavering, as were his work ethic and dedication to every task he undertook. Upon returning to civilian life, he channeled his skills and passions into woodworking and furniture building, creating pieces that are treasured for their craftsmanship.

His love for playing cards was only matched by the love he had for the company of friends and family during these cherished moments. Those who knew Fredrick will remember his quick wit and the wisdom he shared freely.

Fredrick's life will be celebrated on Thursday, May 9, 2024, with a visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service with Military Honors beginning at 1:00 p.m. Brother John Rawdon, who will be officiating, will no doubt capture the essence of Fredrick's impact on all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
