When Joseph Collie's Nissan Altima flipped over, in front of Sadlebrook and Claude Carroll Road on Highway 412, his belongings were thrown from the car. Pictured is a chain, Nike shoes and information about applying for college scholarships.

Joseph Collie, age 18, was involved in a single vehicle accident Thursday, April 23, when the his Nissan Altima he lost control of his vehicle while traveling East on Highway 412.

Sheriff Kilpatrick stated he saw Collie pass him at a high rate of speed. Collie reportedly crossed over the median, and struck rocks in a ditch before hitting a concrete culvert which flipped his vehicle just outside of Saddlebrook Subdivision and Claude Carroll Road.

Collie was reported to have not been wearing a seatbelt but was seen by a couple of witnesses as able to walk and sit upright in the ambulance....
