Nick Chapin

Robert "Nick" Nicholas Chapin, age 30 of Hohenwald, passed away on Sunday, June 14 surrounded by his loving family, following an automobile accident.

Though his life was cut short, he impacted the lives of many people in his 30 years. He was loved by everyone that knew him, he was one of the most selfless people on earth. He stood up for the weak and bullied and went out of his way to always be there for others. Standing up for the weak was instinctual, as one story was told he stood up to someone being bullied without even thinking about it, saying if you're going to hit someone, it's going to be me and not her.

Nothing meant more to him than his family and his two kids. His world revolved around being a father to his two young kids. He was a hard worker, doing asphalt work with his brother and family, and also helped his future father-in-law, Jeff Davis, on the farm.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 beginning at 2 p.m. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Hohenwald. Burial will follow in the Davis-Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 18 at McDonald Funeral Home.

Survivors include his father, Cheyenne Chapin; mother, Cynthia (Ledezma) Chapin; fiancé, Liz Davis; son, Charles Nicholas Chapin; daughter, Riley Paige Chapin; sister, Christina Ledezma; brothers, Louis (Jasmine) Chapin, Jacob Chapin, Zach (Naysha) Chapin and Justin Chapin; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
