Kennedy Elected President: Loses Tennessee Won Lewis County.” A total of 1,723 Lewis County votes were cast for Kennedy (Democratic Party), 580 votes for Richard Nixon (Republican Party), 5 votes for Orval Faubus (National States Rights Party), and 4 votes cast for Rutherford Decker (Prohibition Party).
