Lewis County Herald - Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898

The Hohenwald Police Department responded to a call on Sunday, May 2, in the area of West Main Street and Kappeler Lane when an individual searching for arrowheads spotted something suspicious in the culvert under the West Main roadway.

Upon arrival, the HPD discovered human remains. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation assisted Hohenwald Police in the case, and an autopsy was ordered.

The identity of the body has not been officially released by law enforcement officials. No more details are available at this time.
