Overall winners: Shelby Kwider for females and David Tohn for males.

The Hohenwald Pilot Club's Rudolph Run/Walk 5K began at 8:00 on Saturday morning with one of the best turnouts yet.

Participants gathered to get their t-shirts, numbers and jingle bells in the Middle School gymnasium parking lot before the race began.

The marathon attracted many people from all different walks of life. Some participants were Lewis County's very own cross country team members, while others were simply there to enjoy a nice walk.

Runners and walkers alike lined up on Park Avenue South, awaiting the signal. Soon participants started off into the fog, walking and running towards Park Avenue North. The marathoners then took a turn onto Swan Avenue where they continued running West until met at the halfway point with refreshments at Lomax Church of Christ. Participants then turned around on the same route back to the Middle School with Hohenwald Police Department cars in the front and back of the runners. The Lewis County Sheriff's Department assisted in blocking off all main intersections.
