Dear Editor and Community,

I want to give a big Thank You so very much to the MLEC linemen who rush out after their regular work hours and risk their personal well being to get the power back on for all of us, whether the outage is caused by uncontrollable weather, crashes from out of control vehicles, or equipment malfunctions.

I’ve been told they get a lot of flack from the community for how long it takes sometimes to restore electricity, but frankly, I’ve been pleasantly surprised, on more than one occasion, at how quickly they get it back on. It’s kind of sad to think that community flack...
