The weather this past week was very unpredictable of course this could be said of the weather lots of times, but many days would be hot and then out of the clear blue skies a cloud would appear and then it would turn into a thunderstorm with wind, rain and lots of thunder and lightning. The rain we need very much for it has been really dry. Most days it would clear back up and would be hotter and more humid than before the thunderstorm.

Those I know of who are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Terry Anderson, Connie Bonner, L C Bowen, Kathleen Carroll, Spencer Clark, Fada Clay, Bailey Cromwell, Buffy Farnsworth, Calvin Harris, Cruz Henderson, Labri Kendricks, Martha Hensley, Lyda Mae Hooper, Shirley Howe, Monette King, Colben Ly, Raquel Mallari, Brittany Mash, Linda Mercer, Claire Elizabeth Mayberry, Greg McCann, Mike McCann, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Betty Odom, Pam Pullman, Colene Rasbury, Jerry Runions, Mona Runions, Bill Seiber, Roy Sharp, Joe Ship, Vickie Skelton, Nell Skelton, Howard Tripp, Jim Walker, and Annette Williams. Please pray for these in your daily prayers that they might be better and for any others that need prayers. Remember also in your prayers in areas where there are wars and daily fear for themselves and their families and the soldiers that are stationed there. We also pray for all those who are experiencing problems in their life which cause them to turn to things that only cause more problems and can never help with the real problem.

We wish a happy birthday to Becky Graham and Christy Hillhouse the 15th, Deanne Barnes the 17th, Mark Totty, Kay Murphy, Bobbie James, Megan pierce and James Whitehead the 18th, Krista Rahman the 19th, Vera Runions and Dane Cotham the 20th, Kelby Reeves the 21st, Timothy Eastep, Linda Hornal, Maysi Woodham, and Heather Warf the 22nd, and Nicholas Runions, Pam Graham, Derrick Johnston, Jimmy Lee Johnston, and Greg Baker the 24th. Wishing for these a very happy birthday and many more years to celebrate life.

We extend our sympathy to the family of Robert Lee Gilmer and any other families who have lost loved ones recently.

Congratulations to all the ball teams which have been playing in state tournaments around the area, may they all do well and have a great time playing ball and meeting other people as they travel to areas outside of Lewis County.

Remember those who are shut-in and sick in your prayers and if possible, visit them, or send a card or make a phone call, this lets people know that someone is thinking about them. Sometimes those who are shut-in especially in nursing homes feel they have been forgotten because of problems that prevent people from visiting them. The covid has really hurt people like this because many times being confined it is hard to see even their family.

Prayers for you and your family to have a great week and be sure to stay hydrated as the temperatures soar into the nineties around the area. Take time to relax and cool off as you work and play.
