Lewis County Government recently received a $25,000 check from the Boyd Foundation to establish a Dog Park in our community.

Kayla Baxter, the Community Development Specialist with the South Central Tennessee Development District, presented the check to Lewis County Mayor Jonah Keltner and Park Director Randall Hinson.

Lewis County was one of just 15 communities across Tennessee selected to receive this private grant, which is fully-funded and does not require any local match.

Lewis County's Dog Park will be located at 407 North Oak Street on a county-owned lot that connects to Memorial Park. The Dog Park is expected to be open to the public sometime this fall.
