Lots of trees are losing their leaves as the fall weather begins to be more prevalent every day. This is a pretty time of year as the leaves are such a varied array of colors but at the same time a sad time for things is dying. Only the trees that stay green year-round are showing the green colors.

Those I know of who are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Connie Bonner, L C Bowen, Timmy Bennett, Bobby Carroll, Dorothy Carroll, Kathleen Carroll, Madison Chappell, Spencer Clark, Fada Clay, Colleen Farr, Wilburn Franks, Ophelia Green, Calvin Harris, Alice Hinson, Shirley Howe, Leon Hunter, Faye Johnston, Monette King, Bruce Ligon, Sherry Love, Claire Elizabeth Mayberry, Linda Mercer, Helen McCann, Mike McCann, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Betty Odom, Lonnie Odom, Pam Pullman, Hattie Roberts, Mona Runions, Russell Runions, Roy Sharp, Joe Ship, Vickie Skelton, Nell Skelton, Jim Walker, Sharon White, Diane Williams, and Annette Williams. Please pray for these in your daily prayers that they might be better and for any others that need prayers.

We wish a happy birthday Donnie Haywood and Danny Loveless the 8th, Callie Garrison and Joyce Duncan the 9th, Laquita Carroll the 10th, Brenda King, Dorothy Carroll, and Mary Ann Churchwell the 12th, and Kaitlin Mears the 13th. Wishing for these a very happy birthday and many more years to celebrate life.

Happy anniversary to Eddie and Marlene Holt the 7th, and to Joe and Edna Garner the 9th, we wish for these couples a very long life to celebrate life together.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week that I know of Jason Nance, James “Jim” Bartholomew, Kristi Lee (Chance) Ortega, Carolyn Faye Mitchell, Terry Dugger, Horace “Sonny” Melvin Copley Jr., Bobbie Wilma Aydelott Gibbard, Royce Gene Graves, Elga Jean Epley, Jerry Clifton Bates, and David Wayne Bonge. Prayers for all these families and any others about which we may not know.

This week the children are out of school and the October Fest will be in full swing with many activities and things going on in town as well as lots of yard sales along highway 20, many will be out looking for treasures during the week and hopefully will find many useful items.

Wishing for you and your family a very good week and may you be blessed with health and happiness which sometimes goes hand in hand. Remember those who are less fortunate and can’t get out and visit if you can and if not send cards or call and let them know you are thinking about them.
