Gordonsburg/Little Swan News

Series: Gordonsburg | Story 148

Still the weather has been on the dry side and very hot during the day, the nights have still been in the sixties for the most part. Gardens are really beginning to show the product of hard work by those who spend endless hours working in them. We had showers and thunderstorms last night and along with the thunder and lightning it rained for part of the night.

Those I know of who are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Joyce Barnes, Kenley Bates, Colene Beasley, Lois Bennett, Gertie Carroll, Kathleen Carroll, Spencer Clark, Peggy Cook, Pat Dickson, Callie Garrison, Ophelia Green, Carolyn Hargrave, Calvin Harris, Linda Hornal, Shirley Howe, Debbie Johnston, Lavri Kendricks had her baby early it weighed a little over three pounds but is doing good still in Vanderbilt, Monette King, Claire Elizabeth Mayberry, Ronnie Lewis, Doug Miller, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Thomas Marrow, Carla Murphy, Beverly Sue Novogurski, Lonnie Odom, Joy Orman, Roger Pace, Debbie Pierce, Harry Runions, Mike Runions, Russell Runions, Johnnie Faye Skelton, Terry Stutts, Jeff Tatum, Diane Williams, and Annette Williams. Remember these in your daily prayers that they might be better and for any others that need prayers.

We wish a happy birthday to Jason Haywood the 23rd, Abbie Haigh the 24th, Hunter McDonald the 27th, and Girdie Carroll the 30th. We wish for these a very happy birthday and many more years to celebrate life.

Happy anniversary to Gerald and Peggy McCann the 25th, to Donnie and Mellie Haywood and Jimmy and Faye Johnston and Bill and Donna Owen the 29th we wish for these couples a very happy anniversary and many more years to celebrate life together.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week. These are the ones I know about Lisa Deann Davis Phillips, Brandon Larry Philip Estes, Thelma Dorton Stewart, Margaret Faye Beasley Gossett, Paul J. Stutts and Denny Wayne Davidson. Prayers for all these families and any others about which we may not know.

There are still VBS services going on in the area and some gospel meetings. The library has lots of interesting things going on during the summer, from story times for different ages and special events, and especially the upcoming event at the City Parking Lot. Check out their web site or even face book to see all the events going on. Children will love these events.

Praying for your family a very happy week with good health and that you are able to enjoy the things you like to do, many people cannot get out and do the things they want to so say a prayer for them and maybe send a card or make a phone call or visit. Hope all of you have a great week, June is nearly gone, half of the year.
