Still having really hot days and of course when it is like that there are chances for thunderstorms, and we have had them around the area and some rain, and some places got more than others. The rain is welcome as it has been really dry. Stay cool and hydrated and watch for those pop-up thunderstorms.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week. These are the ones I know about Thelma Nelson, Mark H. Dillehay, Mattie Ruth Flippo Skelton, Isla Victoria Berry, Sandra Faye Stone, Frank Rogers Holt, and Avaa J. McBride Reece. Prayers for all these families and any others about which we may not know.

The Lewis County Girl Scouts had a camp in and sleepover at the park on Friday night and Saturday morning. They all had a great time and enjoyed tie dying shirts in the late evening on Friday and a pajama fashion show after they were dressed for bed. Although it was hot, the children are resilient, and all seemed to have a great time, I think the adults were the ones who didn’t get much sleep. If you would like to sign your daughter up for Girl Scouts you can do so at any time, contact me or any leader 931-796-3880.

Prayers for you and your family that you may have a great week and get to spend time with your family and friends. Be sure to drink plenty of water as the temperature is still going to be high.
