Still days with temperatures in the eighties and occasionally in the low nineties and we have had several thundershowers pop up in the area with thunder and lightning and even some reported hail during on of them. The rain was welcome but has made it difficult for the ball teams to finish their state games and some were even postponed till the next day; these games were played in Dickson, Tennessee.

Many who have gardens are reaping the benefits of their labor and Jimmy Lee Johnston always shares with those at church, he brought squash, tomatoes, and cucumbers this past Sunday. I know everyone appreciates him sharing with us.

Prayers for a good week for everyone and if it is really hot be sure to stay hydrated and don’t overheat. May your family enjoy fellowship and enjoy each other’s company when you have the opportunity to be together.
