Still having very hot days and even the nights have been warmer than usual. There have been thunderstorms in the area but as far as I know there has been no damage. The rain was welcome as we have been really dry this summer. It is a wonder that gardens have been as productive as they have been but there are a lot of gardeners who have been reaping the benefits of their labors and many are sharing with those around them.

Those I know of who are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Joyce Barnes, Colene Beasley, Lois Bennett, Gertie Carroll, Kathleen Carroll, Spencer Clark, Robert and Pat Dickson, Callie Garrison, Ophelia Green, Carolyn Hargrave, Betty Hasty, Wanda Holloway, Linda Hornal, Shirley Howe, Debbie Johnston, Denny King, Monette King, Claire Elizabeth Mayberry, Ronnie Lewis, Doug Miller, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Carla Murphy, Beverly Sue Novogurski, Lonnie Odom, Joy Orman, Roger Pace, Debbie Pierce, Harry Runions, Mike Runions, Russell Runions, Bill Seiber, Johnnie Faye Skelton, Terry Stutts, Jeff Tatum, Diane Williams, and Annette Williams. Remember these in your daily prayers that they might be better and for any others that need prayers.

We wish for these a very happy birthday and many more years to celebrate life.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week. Prayers for these families and any others about which we may not know.

The Lewis County Girl Scouts went to the movies in Lawrenceburg this past week and enjoyed the movie with twelve girls and several leaders and adults attending. The girls loved the movie and I guess just being able to go and do something. School will soon be starting, and I know some are anxious and others not so much.

There are supposed to be some hot days this next week so be sure to stay hydrated and not out in the sun too long at a time. Prayers for your family and may you have health and happiness in the coming days.
