Sounds like a repeat or rerun but temperatures are still in the upper eighties and mid nineties with heat index of over one hundred sometimes. We have had some rain and it is greatly appreciated since the summer has been really dry for the most part.

Those I know of who are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Kasey Baker, Joyce Barnes, Colene Beasley, Lois Bennett, Gertie Carroll, Kathleen Carroll, Spencer Clark, Shirley Conner, Robert and Pat Dickson, Callie Garrison, Ophelia Green, Carolyn Hargrave, Betty Hasty, Darrell Hinson, Wanda Holloway, Linda Hornal, Shirley Howe, Debbie Johnston, Florine Johnston, Denny King, Monette King, Claire Elizabeth Mayberry, Ronnie Lewis, Doug Miller, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Carla Murphy, Beverly Sue Novogurski, Lonnie Odom, Joy Orman, Roger Pace, Debbie Pierce, Jill Rankin, Harry Runions, Mike Runions, Russell Runions, Bill Seiber, Johnnie Faye Skelton, Terry Stutts, Jeff Tatum, Mary Ann Whitehead, Diane Williams, and Annette Williams. Remember these in your daily prayers that they might be better and for any others that need prayers.

We wish a happy birthday to Amber Lancaster the 11th, Torriea Lee Henderson and Quenten Carroll the 12th, Tommy Cagle the 14th, Alicia Reeves the 15th, and Judy Holt and Dakota Keller the 17th. We wish for these a very happy birthday and many more years to celebrate life.

Happy anniversary to Russell and Vera Runions August 14th, and Robbie and Dana Carroll the 17th, we wish for these couples many more years to celebrate life together.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week. These are the ones I know about Bruce Ligon, Lisalee Elizabeth Curry, Jay Richard Reichmuth, Elizabeth Ann “Sally” Chessor, Jimmy Ronald George, and Gary Leon Beard. Prayers for these families and any others about which we may not know.

School is back in session so be careful when you travel around the area, especially around the school grounds, children sometimes forget to be careful as they play. It is so hot I hope the children stay hydrated as they go from place to place in their daily routine.

Prayers that you and your family have a great week and enjoy those around you especially your family members, sometimes we forget what should be important to us as we get involved with the day-to-day routine. Remember those who are less fortunate and take time to visit if you can or call or maybe send a card to let them know you care.
