The weekend was not what most wanted the weather to be as it turned out to be a rainy cold day and night. Even Sunday was not very warm although once during the day, I saw the sun shine but was still very cool even to feeling cold to me. Most of the October Fest events were completed before it got so cool and even before the rain on Sunday.

Those I know of who are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Kasey Baker, Joyce Barnes, Colene Beasley, Lynn Brown, Gertie Carroll, Spencer Clark, Robert and Pat Dickson, Bobby Darrell Duncan, Ophelia Green, Carolyn Hargrave, Darrell Hinson, Wanda Holloway, Debbie Johnston, Florine Johnston, Bobby Kilpatrick, Denny King, Monette King, Claire Elizabeth Mayberry, Ronnie Lewis, Doug Miller, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Carla Murphy, Joy Orman, Roger Pace, Debbie Pierce, Jill Rankin, Harry Runions, Bobby Simmons, Johnnie Faye Skelton, Terry Stutts, Jeff Tatum, Diane Williams, Doug Williams, and Annette Williams. Many are having covid so be careful where you go and be safe and try to stay away from large crowds. Remember these in your daily prayers that they might be better and for any others that need prayers.

We wish a happy birthday to Tammy Stutts and Judy Bennett the 21st, Cheyenne Collins, Johnny Edwards, and Mckala Carroll the 22nd, Lexie Brown the 23rd, Jim Walker and Haven Carrees the 24th, and Melissa Grinder the 26th. We wish for these a very happy birthday and many more years to celebrate life.

Happy anniversary to Darrell and Diana Runions the 21st, we wish for this couple many more years to celebrate life together.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week. These are the ones I know about Michael Ray Runions, Martha Francie Leath, Sadie Inez Barnes, Sara Jo Harrington, Juanita Lynn King, Thomas Whitson, Schmittou, and David Lee Scarberry. Prayers for these families and any others about which we may not know.

Children will be back in school on Tuesday after the day off on Monday for parent teacher conferences. Their next vacation will be around Thanksgiving and following close to that will be Christmas break. Now many are already looking forward to that.

Hope you were able to enjoy some or all of the October Heritage Festival, the opening ceremony honored those who were elected by the History and Heritage group which mainly is followed on Facebook. Richard Amacher and Annette Peery were those who were honored this year. Congratulations to them, a great honor for two great people.

With the changing weather it reminds us that fall is here and winter is not far away, so be getting ready for those cool to cold nights and mornings. I am pretty sure we will have some more warm to hot days and they will be welcome.

Praying that you and your family have a great week and share happiness and good health.
