"Support Your Chamber of Commerce" Day

October 19, 2023

Chambers of Commerce strive to address the community's top challenges and greatest opportunities through bold leadership and innovative problem-solving. A community with a strong chamber of commerce advocates for economic prosperity, boosted quality of life, as well as creates access to meaningful employment and opportunity for all its residents. As a trusted resource for businesses, residents and other stakeholders, chambers of commerce are champions of their communities.

To recognize and honor the hard work and dedication displayed by the Hohenwald/Lewis County Chamber of Commerce, Lewis County Mayor Jonah Keltner signed a proclamation stating October 18, 2023 as "Support Your Chamber of Commerce Day."

"We have several great events that are put on here," stated Mayor Keltner. "From the county fair, to Oktober Heritage Festival, Summerfest, to Christmas in Hohenwald and the Buffalo River Blueway. Whether directly or indirectly, our local chamber works on all of these."

"Yes," replied Chamber Director Debbie Landers, "people come from all over to see what we have to offer during these events. We don't put on each of these, but we do direct people to the local lodging, recreational activities, places to eat and sights to see while they are here visiting, and we love being able to steer people in the direction that makes a great local economical impact."

"Over $5,000,000 in tourism was spent here in Lewis County last year," announced Mayor Keltner, "and the Chamber was a huge part of that, and we're proud to have an active one in Hohenwald, Lewis County."
