The weather keeps its reputation in check as the temperature from morning to evening has been somewhat changeable over the past few days, but we have had some rain, which was needed. It was so dry that burn bans had been issued for the area. If you are going to be out for long periods of time, I suggest layering clothing and then if it gets warmer you can remove some.

I know it is still a week away but wishing everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving and remember all the things that God has blessed us with in this nation. I know that many will be traveling so be safe and remember to watch out for the other people on the road. May we be willing to share with others the things that we are blessed with as there are many who will not have food on the table or even a table to sit and eat at.

One of my great granddaughters, Kaitlynn Tripp and I attended the singing at Flatrock church of Christ, it was really uplifting as there were so many memories of Bobby Darrell Duncan who recently left this earth. I think they said there were over forty leaders and as many congregations represented. He would have loved to be there as he loved to sing. The singing was great, as was the food provided before the singing.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week. These are the ones I know about Claudie Innette Carroll Kelley, Danny Ray Naragon, Stephen Thomas Dotson, Etta Alice Fisher Richardson, and Edith Louise Jones. Prayers for these families and any others about which I may not know.

As we prepare for the upcoming Thanksgiving week may we remember all those who are no longer with us and enjoy the family that we have around us.
