Series: Gordonsburg | Story 1

January 11, 2024

We have had some unusual weather for the first week in January 2024, it has been anywhere from the teens to the forties at night and fifties to thirties in the day time and with some rain heavy at times during the night and days. I guess we have missed some snow for they had chances a couple of days and nights and some said they saw some falling but most did not see it. I for one am glad it did not lay and hopefully we will not have much this winter.

Those I know of who are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Kasey Baker, Joyce Barnes, Kenneth and Vikie Bates have both been very sick with flu and pneumonia, Colene Beasley, Linda Butler, Gertie Carroll, Spencer Clark, Robert and Pat Dickson, Jerry Edwards, Joe Garner, Ophelia Green, Darrell Hinson, Wanda Holloway, Debbie Johnston, Florine Johnston, Bobby Kilpatrick, Denny King, Monette King, Claire Elizabeth Mayberry, Brittany Mash, Doug Miller, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Joy Orman, Roger Pace, Debbie Pierce, Harry Runions, Tina Sharp, Johnnie Faye Skelton, Terry Stutts, Jeff Tatum, Diane Williams, Doug Williams, and Annette Williams. Prayers for these and others who are sick and suffering from some ailments.

We wish a happy birthday Samuel Warf the 17th, Tina Howell the 20th, Olivia Johnston, Brandi Love, and C W Carroll the 21st, we wish for all these a very happy birthday and many more years to celebrate life.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week. These are the ones I know about Greg Edward Winton, Brian Keith Johns, Clinton Wayne Erickson, Mary Moon Farmer, Sherry Ellen Morse-Drake, Nick Church, Alice Faye Nelson Brown, Anthony Michael Richardson, Melody Marie Bailey, Elizabeth Dawn Durham, Hazekiah Mitchell Springer, Carolyn Duncan, Donna Watson, Shirley Helen McFarland, Thomas Wesley Buchanan III, and Dorothea “Dot” Gertrude Kauffman. Prayers for these families and any others about which I may not know.

Remember those who are away from home whether they be doing service for our nation or other reason and say a special prayer for them and also remember those who are less fortunate and are not able to be out and doing the things they like to do, help where you can and always pray for those who are not able to be out.

Praying for your family that you may be blessed with happiness and health in the coming days, weeks and months of the year.
