the temperatures being in the upper eighties almost every day and some scattered thundershowers around the area with high winds and some much-needed rain. There were limbs and debris and even one tree which partially blocked the road on little Swan maybe others. If you must be out sure to stay hydrated and wear a hat of some kind. The next several days have no predictions for rain.

Those I know of who are sick either at home, in nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Joyce Barnes, Colene Beasley, Lois Bennett, Gertie Carroll, Kathleen Carroll, Spencer Clark, Robert and Pat Dickson, Callie Garrison, Ophelia Green, Carolyn Hargrave, Betty Hasty, Wanda Holloway, Linda Hornal, Shirley Howe, Debbie Johnston, Denny King, Monette King, Claire Elizabeth Mayberry, Ronnie Lewis, Doug Miller, Howard Miller, Jackie McFall, Carla Murphy, Beverly Sue Novogurski, Lonnie Odom, Joy Orman, Roger Pace, Debbie Pierce, Harry Runions, Mike Runions, Russell Runions, Bill Seiber, Johnnie Faye Skelton, Terry Stutts, Jeff Tatum, Mary Ann Whitehead, Diane Williams, and Annette Williams. Remember these in your daily prayers that they might be better and for any others that need prayers.


We wish a happy birthday to Gerald McCann the 28th, Rhonda Turner and Karen holt the 29th, Audrey Reeves the 30th, Abbey McDonald the 31st, Arianna Grinder and Lynn Carroll August 1st, and Cameron Troutman the 3rd. We wish for these a very happy birthday and many more years to celebrate life.

Happy anniversary to Adam and Deanne Barnes July 31st, we wish for this couple many more years to celebrate life together.

On Saturday Timothy Eastep and Maysi Woodham celebrated their birthday with a cookout at Timothy’s home. There was lots of food and an ice cream cake which the children and others really enjoyed. Timothy’s grandmother Dorothy Warf and mother, Jeanea Warf was there along with his aunt Selina Young, his children, brother Jesse Eastep and Maysi’s sons Miles and Zeke. Everyone enjoyed visiting and even sitting outside for a while as the children played in the yard.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week. These are the ones I know about Sarah Meisenheimer, Ned Vigil, Jerry Lee Bates, Karl “Archie” Hill, Elbert Ray Mickey, Owen Ray Tindle, Mary Esther Lawson, John Will Mayfield Sr., Lucille Bass Shephard, Betty Louise Gordon, and Mary Helen Pinkerton. Prayers for these families and any others about which we may not know.

More of the hot humid days ahead so be safe if you are out a lot or for long periods of time and remember to drink plenty of liquids. May your family be safe, happy and enjoy good health during the coming days.
