National Newspaper Week (October 1-7) compels me to acknowledge my journalistic catastrophe of fifth grade. I joyously composed articles of my own and proofread the contributions of classmates. Alas, my mechanical ineptitude reared its ugly head and for the life of me, I couldn’t operate the mimeograph!
