    On January 12, 2023, Lewis County Sheriff Department Deputy Mckenzie Potts and Sergeant Todd Webb were dispatched to 168 Ashley Road. When they arrived, Daniel Lee Brewer fled from deputies in a blue Nissan Sentra with a female in the vehicle. Law enforcement pursued but were unable to catch Brewer at that time.     The Hohenwald/Lewis County Chamber of Commerce held its monthly Board of Directors meeting on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. During the meeting, Lewis County Mayor Jonah Keltner presented the board with the county's annual contribution of $18,000. That funding, which is generated by tourists through the county's hotel/motel tax, is allocated by Commissioners each year to assist the Chamber with its operating expenses.
